Welcome to Doggie Dialogue

Many of us are busy with careers, kids, parents, and other commitments and we sometimes feel guilty for not spending enough “quality” time with our dogs.

When you have a busy day there are a few quick fun and engaging games your K9 would love!!!

Firstly, most K9’s love “hide and seek”, whether it is with you or one of the kids, their favourite toy or a combination of treats and toys. This allows your K9 to “sniff out” and find their favourite toy or treat. This is a creative way to engage your K9 and help increase their mental stimulation.

A quick way to increase your K9’s physical stimulation is to play tug-of-war, letting your K9 “win.” If the kids are creative and have the energy an obstacle course inside or outside is a great option as well.

We find older K9’s love the snuffle mat and puzzles. These options offer mental stimulation with a food reward as a BONUS!!!!

All K9’s love the dispensing toys, especially the Kong filled with a treat or peanut butter. Remember Kraft all-natural peanut butter is the best, as it only has 1 ingredient in it—roasted peanuts.

Make the most of the time that you do have, to bond with your K9 and help them develop their mental and physical skills.

May you all have a safe and wonderful Easter Holiday.
