We begin this week’s “RUFF TAILS” featuring a beautiful 6-month-old Border Collie, Great Pyrenees, Cattle dog, Lab mix named Bear.
So, we got Bear as a playmate for our high-drive Bailey and it was the best decision we could have done. But of course, we got the opposite of Bailey. He is such a sweet and gentle soul.

We picked him up from a farm at 9 weeks old and has picked up everything so quickly, learning so much from his sister, Bailey. Crate training was a breeze with him. He adores nose kisses and belly rubs and always sits licking his lips wanting another kiss and rubs.

He is just the goofiest pup. You will never catch him without something in his mouth greeting you at the door. He is just generally a great puppy, but he has had a fair share of menacing behaviours from eating books, paper towels, pictures off the fridge but anytime you look at his sweet face it’s like it never happened.
He is very quiet but is still a little shy meeting new people and lets them know, but if you have a treat, he’s all yours!!!! He enjoys chasing Bailey in the backyard and cuddling when you are watching TV. He is just a sweet little guy.
Welcome to Doggie Dialogue
In each city there are animal shelters and rescue organizations that do amazing work and must stretch their dollars and supplies as far as they can.

If you think you would like to help them out by volunteering or offering a monetary donation that would be wonderful.
However, if this is not feasible currently, then donating items from your home is greatly appreciated.

Soft goods from your home that the shelter would love to have would be towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, pet beds, heating pads and extra fabric for bedding.
Enrichment items that would be wonderful to donate to the shelter would be freshly laundered soft toys, non-porous toys that can be sanitized, food puzzles, and slow feeders.

Grooming and care items such as nail trimmers, unopened pet shampoos, brushes and combs, would be fantastic donation as well.

Food bowls (not plastic), baby bottles, measuring cups, and food grade storage containers, poop bags, pee pads, and laundry detergent are all items that would be greatly appreciated by any rescue organization or shelter.
Things the shelters do NOT want are medications, edibles, cleaning products that are open or mislabelled.
All items that are donated must be able to be sanitized, washed, and disinfected for safety guidelines.

Check out your local animal shelter in your town or city and see how you can help out.
